Inka Dinka Do
Aug. 29th, 2004 12:24 amDid something today I haven't done in ages. Inked a strip using a nib-pen. My trusty Tachikawa spoon nib, to be specific, lettered with a Ball B6 and did some of the shading with the Staedtler tech-pen. I'm pleased with the result; the nibs slow me down a bit. This has less to do with anything technical than it does with the fact that I give the details a bit more attention. So, that's Tuesday's strip down. Before I can begin Thursday's I need to decide whether I want to run two (or maybe three) plots in counterpoint, or sequentially. I don't think, even at two strip/week, I'm updating frequently enough to pull counterpoint off successfully without losing people in the story, so I think I'll do the plots in sequence. There's no reason they have to occur simultaneously, so there is no reason to present them that way.
Well, I'm also working on a trip report from my vacation which will eventually find its way to this page.

That's probably best. It would keep up the momentum of the stories too - with counterpoint, two stories would each get one strip a week, and that would be a bit thin unless they were particularly fast-moving or suspenseful plots.
