I have to wonder how he'd react to Papal Indulgences, the medieval "pay up and spend less time in Little Hell" deal... I lie. I don't so much wonder as have visions of Jesus on a very big bulldozer with mounted watercannon. ;)

As I understand it, no pope ever blessed the sale of indulgences. That was a scandal eventually extirpated.
