On May 5th, Condoleezza Rice complained:
Those pictures were awful because America -- American men and women in uniform, active and reserve, are serving in Iraq at great sacrifice.

Well: Problem Solved!

Now Condi need not be troubled by any more awful pictures. Rummy, you take such good care of that girl, I hope she appreciates all you do for her.

After all, why should taxpayers be troubled by the knowledge of what they're paying for?

When I saw Rummy on the stand, it had to be well over a week ago now, he mentioned people with digital cameras at least 5 times as if they were the problem. I thought it was just amazing, and was surprised that the news and commentators really never really picked up on it.

I guess this is one solution: no pictures, no problem.

Isn't this a pretty explicit way of saying, "Yeah, we're Big Brother"? I think he's not doing himself any favor.

Now, we knew, didn't we, that this was going to happen. This administration is all about the triumph of image over substance. As long as those nasty pictures can be got rid of, the atrocities don't exist.
