Water Pump
Apr. 10th, 2005 08:25 pmThe Saturn now has a new water pump. I drove it into my garage at 8:44, worked on it through the day, and drove it out at 5:00. Quite a refreshing change from the Master Cylinder debacle.
Swap was uneventful, except for some minor problems with the tensioner, whose bolt slipped because it was to short. I went down to Autozone, and they pulled a bolt from a tensioner they had in stock so that I could match it with a replacement. That was incredible service!
The new water pump did not leak, and I'm hoping all the bolts are tight enough, but I think they are. I brought the car to operating temperature, and then turne it off to let pressure build and there were no drips.
There will be a new Cat-Tharsis on Tuesday.
