A Missed Opportunity
Feb. 18th, 2004 11:20 amThe buzz is that Dean's going to throw in the towel today. Why did he do so badly? I think Ted Rall explains what happened pretty well. The only thing Rall seems to forget is that even before "the scream" the press was casting aspersion upon Dean's wife for not actually being up his butt 24/7 during the campaign.
I'm sad he's hanging it up before the Minnesota primaries. I wanted to go and actually vote for someone because I liked them, and this primary was going to be the one chance I'd have in my life to do that. Oh well. I'll vote for Kerry in November. He won't sell us down the river as quickly as Bush is. I don't think he has the swing voter appeal that Dean would have had. But voters are mostly sheep, and the DLC has done a pretty good job of saying that a vote for Dean is a vote for Bush. I wonder who would have won if all states held their caucuses on a single day?
