For future reference, it's hard enough to keep an opened bottle of dry red from turning in the refrigerator overnight. I have a wine cork thing that attaches to a vacuum sealer for just such purposes. I wouldn't even bother checking an opened bottle that had been sitting on a shelf more than about a day.

Of course, you could always just finish any bottle you open....
